While driving to St. Louis on a scuba diving trip, my carpool buddy pulled out some reggae music–a choice that we both liked–and popped it into the player. We were listening to it for a little while and I was really enjoying it. I asked him who the artist was and he replied, “Matisyahu.” “Matis-what?” I asked him more about this guy and was pretty surprised at what I found out next. Matisyahu isn’t your average reggae singer.
I won’t tell you yet what’s unique about Matisyahu, but I will say that it is great to see how music can bring together such a variety of cultures, religions, and regions. Listen to the music I’ve attached from YouTube below and form a picture of Matisyahu in your head. Then, click the small image below the video to see how accurate of a picture you formed.

Hello Patrick,
I have never known about Matisyahu before. Really, nice video.
So, thanks for it.;)
Further, I would like to thank to Mat for the like of Matisyahu.:)
As cheesy as it may sound, music really is the ultimate universal language, and this is a great example of that.
Cheers!

It is so refreshing to know that music is uniting not only different cultures but also, religions. I absolutely LOVE reggae music. However, I still have yet to listen to Matisyahu’s album/s. Of what I heard on the you tube attachment, they sound really good, which makes me eager to go and buy their album/s. I’m all about uniqueness and originality and so it seems to me like this group has that written all over it.
