As an early anniversary gift, Rita got me a new camera bag that I’ve been looking at for a while. In an attempt to carry my camera with me wherever I go (to get those right-place-at-the-right-time shots), I wanted to get a bag that looks kind of casual and is easy to tag along. I decided on the Lowepro Slingshot 200 AW.
This bag is called a slingshot because you can easily swing it around from your back to your front to get your camera out without having to actually take the bag off your back (click images to enlarge). This is nice for walking around town, the park, or wherever you happen to be. You don’t always have to have your camera around your neck, yet it is still easy to access if you need it.
At $110, the bag is definitely not the cheapest, but based on the reputation of Lowepro as well as the convenience and build quality of the bag, I didn’t mind handing over the cash (I mean Rita’s cash, lol). This just means her gift will have to be that much better :p. For more information on this bag, you can visit the manufacturer’s page here.

great bag. suitable for different activities
That bags seems to do it all! My brother is an avid camera man, so that would be a fun birthday present. Is there a restriction on what kind of cameras you can fit it?
Kind of a late response, but there are restrictions simply because of the size. For this reason, Lowepro has made 3 versions of the bag: the 100, 200, and 300. Each version is a different size and can hold more or less equipment. Hope that helps.
