Now THIS is Travel

gap_antarctic1.jpgOne of my many life goals is to travel to Antarctica. Every once in a while I peruse the internet to feel a little bit closer to these goals and to dream about the things I hope to do in the future. One company that is making the realization of travel goals easier is G.A.P Adventures.

“In 1990 Bruce Poon Tip launched G.A.P Adventures with the belief that other travelers would share his desire to experience authentic adventures in a responsible and sustainable manner. We’ve grown from a one-man show to a company of over 500, and from a handful of trips in Latin America to hundreds of adventures spanning the globe… and beyond! Over 60,000 travellers experience the real world with us every year. What hasn’t changed is our passion for making sure you get behind the scenes to experience the real world in an authentic and sustainable manner.”–G.A.P Adventures Website

The traditional notion of tourism (sitting on a beach while eating and drinking with a few hundred other tourists) may have its time and place, but Ecotourism is definitely gaining ground with many travelers these days. Take a look at the video below to see what travel agencies like G.A.P Adventures have to offer. Now THIS is travel!
