HowTo: Test Your Internet Speed

With most sites now containing rich media that requires a lot of bandwidth on the side of the user, internet speed is becoming very important. Internet Frog offers a simple and free bandwidth monitor so you can see how your connection compares to the average bandwidth for your specific type of hook-up. The readings range from the old 14.4kbps modem to the speedy T3 connection. Most users have either a cable or dsl connection, and those averages are listed as well. My connection isn’t great nor bad; I fit in just under the 4Mbps cable modem average. You can test your internet speed over at Internet Frog with no sign up or anything, just visit the page and it’ll tell you your speed.
