Well, I got an upgrade today; I am now 21 years old! The celebration started off last night at my house when a bunch of friends came over for the “pre-release” party of version 2.1. We moved on to 29 Park where the partying continued and then came to a quick stop for some (okay, me) as alcohol began to take its toll. Thanks to everyone who came out, I’m glad to have such a great group of friends; you guys and gals are awesome.

After a little bit of a struggle, I managed to get up around 11pm for brunch with some family and then Rita and I took off to Hawk Cliff and Port Stanley. It was super foggy as the warm sun heated the cool ground and water. We could barely see anything, so the cliff idea lost a bit of its appeal, but Rita and I made a good time of it by collecting some unknown seeds for planting and making crowns out of twigs. We ate some pretty gross french fries at Mackie’s and walked along the beach before heading back to London for dinner with Mom and Fred. Lastly, I had a meeting for my upcoming trip to El Salvador which I just got back from.

Overall, it has been a great 24 hours and I enjoyed turning the big 2-1. As for gifts, I was very spoiled by my nana and grandad who got me a DSLR camera, the Nikon D70s, that I will be showing off here later in the week. My Mom and Fred got me a lens for the camera and Rita got me some great clothes and a new Risk board game (mine was lost in the flood of 2003… in our basement). I can’t forget to mention Vann’s bottle of Crown Royal along with the best gifts of all, given by everyone, making it out last night or sending me birthday wishes. Thank you everyone!
