As you read this post, I am probably flying somewhere over the Southern US, soon to land in the bellybutton of the Americas, El Salvador. I have used the Post Timestamp feature in WordPress to pre-schedule when my posts will be released. This means that although I’m in another country away from an internet connection, [...]

Alright, it’s coming down to the hour–5.5 more hours to be exact. I should really get some sleep so I’m not too exhausted at 4am. I did most of my packing on Friday so I just have to get a few final things together and head on out. Be back in 17 days!

Thanks to everyone who made it out to the El Salvador Fundraiser Barbeque last night. Overall, things went well and we ended up having just enough food. As for donations, $211.50 was raised (we won’t name any names about who donated $1.50, lol). I really appreciate everyone’s support and will be sure to post lots [...]

Everyone could use a little enlightenment now and then and there is no easier way to do so than listening to a great audiobook while relaxing in the sun or driving in your car/on your bike. I previously gave you a link to Darwin’s Evolution of Species audiobook which I hope some people enjoyed. Recently, [...]

I was at the grocery store today shopping for some food for tomorrow’s barbeque. I picked up some buns and then went to look for hamburgers and hot dogs. I came across the packages only to realize that the amount of hamburgers and hot dogs did not match the number of buns in the packages. [...]

In about 5.5 hours, I will be done with school for four months! Ahhh, what a relief. As for right now, the studying continues since my exam is in 3.5 hours. It’s a fully multiple choice test so I’m not too worried about it, it’s the essay exams that are require more thought; MC is [...]

In the realm of bright ideas, I’m not sure if this one is very high on the list. Someone decided that it would be a good idea to print Nutrition Information on the front of cookies instead of on the box. I don’t think making your customers feel guilty at every bite is a very [...]

I came across UStream.tv the other day. I’ve been waiting for a site like this for ages and it has finally arrived. Although I don’t really have a use for it, the service is great. The site allows you to do live streaming feeds through a basic webcam. If you don’t know what a live [...]

We hear a lot these days about company data breaches; this time, the information is getting a bit personal. Astroglide, the sexual lubricant manufacturer, is reported to have suffered a security breach which has opened up the records of 250K+ people–including names, mailing addresses, and the specific variety of lube they purchased. This data was [...]

This is just great! I love cats and I love scuba diving, but watching them go together is just hilarious. Here’s a video of Gene Alba and his scuba diving cat Hawkeye. I guess Alba thought that it would be a good idea to create a customized scuba system for his cat so they could [...]

It was yet another beautiful day yesterday so Rita and I took advantage of the sun and went for a bike ride. There is a small park and pond near her house, so we took a trip over there to feed the geese. They must be used to this sort of thing because they were [...]

Happy belated Earth Day everyone! I wasn’t able to post yesterday because I was studying like crazy for today’s exam. It was a killer. I expected it to be a little tough but the questions were much more abstract than I expected. I won’t go into detail because my mind is like sludge right now [...]
