Upgrade to WordPress 2.1.2

wordpress-logo.jpgWell, I finally made the leap to version 2.1.2 from 2.0.4. This is a major upgrade and will allow the site to expand its capabilities. I am always nervous performing major updates like this because most of the time something goes wrong. Also, since my WordPress blog and Gallery2 photo gallery are integrated through the use of a special plugin, I was especially nervous that this relationship would be compromised.

Fortunately, I took my time, backed up all my data, and proceeded slowly through the upgrade process. So far everything seems to be working out okay with the exception of my Amazon Wishlish plugin, which isn’t compatible with the new version of WP. This is not a big deal at all and I’m sure I’ll find a similar plugin soon if this is not fixed. Other than that, I had a few scares with my theme not being compatible and with my text editor not displaying properly, but after a few tweaks, everything seems to be sorted out.

If you come across any irregularities, please let me know by leaving a comment in one of the posts. Thanks.
